The staff, service and solutions provided by the team at AFH are above and beyond. DIFOT @100% and always willing to provide solutions to the impossible.
A few times I have requested above the norm, like a 50 degree slope to lift an outdoor kitchen/BBQ into a new build, drive a 5 tonner from Eden Park to my work because I made a mistake.
Pete and his team are service providers that provide a peace of mind service. Don’t need them until you need them and when you need them, they deliver.

I am writing this note in support of our long-term supply partner AFH (Auckland Fork Hoists)
AFH has been with Mainfreight since our beginning in1978. As we have expanded and adapted to long term growth AFH has also grown with us as our trusted partner.
The original deal in 1978 was done on a handshake and that commitment remains strong today.
We (Mainfreight) have tested the partnership at times and to be fair still do! With each of the new requests or challenges put in front of them, AFH have responded with many options to satisfy our needs.
Three years ago, the business was sold to its current owners, while Mainfreight was a little nervous with the change from what was a long and strong partnership, the new ownership quickly quelled any concerns we had.
The last three years have seen our business change significantly, especially when seeking out more environmentally sound machinery.
New gear needed to be both at a cost price point that would work for us across our network and operationally be successful during the long hours, varied freight types and depot layouts within our transport business.
We put the above opportunity to AFH, and the results have been very successful to date.
We have close to 400 AFH units operating within our transport facilities in NZ, within the past three years over 75% of our fleet has been replaced with new gear.
Wherever possible, this new gear has been of the Fast or Opportunity charge type, with some IC units where we don’t yet have the correct power supply.
The gear, being mostly the UN branded equipment works for us, the machines appear reliable and easy to use.
We have also had the opportunity to work with AFH and the supplier factory regarding changing specifications to suit some of our non-standard requirements of which has also been of great benefit to us.
The team at AFH are responsive if we do have a problem and we appreciate the effort they put in to keep our freight moving for our customers. We look forward to continuing our long-term partnership into the future.
